Jeeps get driven the way they're meant to be in Arizona: dirt roads, washes and trailheads. That's hard on a windshield, especially the flat, upright glass on a Wrangler or Gladiator. Newer Jeeps also carry a camera behind the windshield for collision warning and lane assist.

What makes Jeep windshields different?
A Wrangler and a Grand Cherokee need very different glass, and even the same model changes with the year and options. We confirm yours by VIN before ordering.
Upright windshields
Wrangler and Gladiator windshields stand nearly straight up, so they take rock hits head-on. Chips are common, and they spread.
Front camera
Newer Jeeps with forward collision warning and lane assist use a camera mounted to the glass. The bracket has to match exactly.
Rain sensor & heated wiper area
Select trims have rain-sensing wipers or a heated area where the wipers rest, built into the glass.
Acoustic glass
Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer models often use acoustic glass for a quieter cabin.

Jeep driver assistance and your windshield
Many newer Jeeps have Forward Collision Warning, LaneSense lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. On equipped models, the front camera sits at the top of the windshield and works with radar at the front of the vehicle. Select Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer models also offer Active Driving Assist.
After a windshield replacement, that camera has to be recalibrated so these features read the road correctly.
Depending on the model, a Jeep camera is recalibrated on a road drive or with targets in our shop. Our technicians run a pre-scan, calibrate with Autel equipment and run a post-scan before you leave.
Forward Collision Warning
Warns you, and on equipped models brakes, if a collision ahead is likely.
LaneSense Lane Departure Warning
Alerts you and helps steer you back if you drift out of your lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Keeps a set distance from the vehicle ahead.
Traffic Sign Recognition
On select models, shows speed limit signs on the display.
Active Driving Assist
On select models, combines cruise and lane centering on the highway.
Jeep driver-assistance features vary a lot by model, year and package, and older Wranglers may not have a windshield camera at all. Send us your VIN and we'll confirm.

When the glass does need replacing, we match it to your Jeep's year and equipment, including the camera on newer models, and set it with premium urethane so it stays sealed on rough roads.

Insurance
Does insurance cover a Jeep windshield?
If you have comprehensive coverage, your Jeep windshield replacement may be covered, minus your deductible. When recalibration is required, it's normally part of the same claim.
We set up a three-way call with your insurance company and help you file the claim. Paying out of pocket? You'll get a clear quote that includes the glass and the recalibration.

Does my Jeep need camera recalibration after a windshield replacement?
If it has a front camera for collision warning or lane assist, yes. We recalibrate it in house and confirm it with a post-scan. Older Jeeps without a camera don't need it.
Do you replace Wrangler and Gladiator windshields?
Yes. We replace windshields on every generation of Wrangler and on the Gladiator, with or without a camera.
My Wrangler windshield chips all the time. What can I do?
Get chips repaired early, before they spread. Our in-shop chip repairs are $79 for the first chip and $30 for each additional chip.
Can I get mobile windshield replacement for my Jeep?
Yes, at your home or office with covered parking. If your Jeep needs a static calibration with targets, that part is done in our shop; we'll plan it with you when you book.
Can you repair a chip instead of replacing the windshield?
Often, yes. If the chip on your Jeep is no bigger than a quarter, we can usually repair it in our shop: $79 for the first chip and $30 for each additional chip. Chip repairs are in-shop only.
Is there a warranty on my new Jeep windshield?
Yes. Every windshield we install comes with our lifetime warranty on parts and workmanship.
