Many Tesla owners assume a windshield has to go through a Tesla Service Center. Tesla Service Centers do replace glass, and you're also free to choose a qualified independent glass shop. The right choice is the one that fits your schedule, your insurance and your preferences.

Our history with Tesla goes back to the first-generation Model S. When Tesla had an early service location near Deer Valley Airpark, a Tesla service manager found Blue Chip Auto Glass on Yelp and asked us to help replace windshields on those cars. Tesla provided the glass, and our technicians installed it.

    Share your name, phone number, and your vehicle's year, make, model and VIN. We use the VIN to match the exact windshield and check whether camera recalibration is needed.

    We call your insurance together

    We set up a three-way call with you and your insurance company to verify your glass coverage, confirm your deductible (including full-glass coverage) and get your claim number.

    We order your glass

    Once the claim is approved, we order the correct windshield and materials for your vehicle. OEM/dealer glass is requested when it's required or you ask for it.

    Every windshield is inspected

    Your glass is cleaned and inspected individually on our inspection stand, under high-intensity lighting, for scratches, blemishes and distortion. Anything that doesn't pass is returned and reordered.

    We schedule your installation

    Only after your glass has arrived and passed inspection, so there are no wasted trips. Choose our Phoenix shop or our Mesa shop (by appointment), or mobile service (covered parking required).

    Get an all-inclusive quote

    One price covering glass, labor, materials, tax and any required recalibration. We'll explain OEM and aftermarket glass options when they apply.

    50% deposit to order your glass

    A 50% deposit starts the parts order. The remaining 50% isn't due until your installation is complete.

    Every windshield is inspected

    Your glass is cleaned and inspected individually on our inspection stand, under high-intensity lighting, for scratches, blemishes and distortion. Anything that doesn't pass is returned and reordered.

    We schedule your installation

    Only after your glass has arrived and passed inspection. Choose our Phoenix shop or our Mesa shop (by appointment), or mobile service (covered parking required).

  6. 6

    Installation and final payment

    We install your glass to manufacturer requirements, complete any recalibration and run final quality and safety checks. Then you pay the remaining balance and get your receipt and warranty.

Will an independent shop void my Tesla warranty?

Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) generally prevents a manufacturer from voiding your vehicle warranty just because you used an independent shop. We install OEM Tesla glass and complete the camera calibration.

Is your glass the same as Tesla's?

We offer genuine OEM Tesla glass, shipped direct from Tesla, and premium aftermarket glass like FYG. Both are good options, and we'll always tell you which you're getting.

Do you do the calibration Tesla does?

Yes. We verify the camera pitch with Tesla's Camera Calibration Target and run the road calibration, the same procedure for your model and year.

Can you handle my insurance claim?

Yes. We verify your coverage, start the claim on a three-way call with you and your insurer, and coordinate any approvals.

Do you work with Tesla Insurance?

Yes. Give us your Tesla Insurance claim number and we work directly with your adjuster and bill Tesla Insurance, so you don't pay up front and wait for reimbursement.

Does Tesla send customers to you?

Yes. Tesla's own service teams refer Tesla owners to us, and so do other Arizona glass shops.
