What makes Ram windshields different?

Ram builds several windshield versions for the same truck depending on trim, packages and year. We confirm yours by VIN before ordering.

Front camera
Ram trucks with forward collision warning and LaneSense use a camera mounted to the glass. The bracket has to match exactly.
Rain sensor
Select trims have rain-sensing wipers that read through the glass.
Head-up display
Select upper trims of the Ram 1500 have a head-up display and need HUD-specific glass.
Big truck glass
Ram windshields are large and heavy. Setting them right takes two technicians and the right equipment.

Ram driver assistance and your windshield

Many newer Ram trucks have Forward Collision Warning, LaneSense lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. On equipped trucks, the front camera sits at the top of the windshield and works with radar at the front.

After a windshield replacement, that camera has to be recalibrated so these features read the road correctly.

Depending on the model, a Ram camera is recalibrated on a road drive or with targets in our shop. Our technicians run a pre-scan, calibrate with Autel equipment and run a post-scan before you leave.

Forward Collision Warning
Warns you, and on equipped trucks brakes, if a collision ahead is likely.
LaneSense Lane Departure Warning
Alerts you and helps steer you back if you drift out of your lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Keeps a set distance from the vehicle ahead.
Traffic Sign Recognition
On select trucks, shows speed limit signs on the display.
Automatic High Beams
On select trucks, switches the high beams on and off for you.

We only install aftermarket glass that's compatible with your camera and features, and every windshield, OEM or aftermarket, is checked on our inspection stand, under high-intensity lighting, before it goes on your car.

If your Ram has driver assistance features or a head-up display, OEM glass is the safest choice for the camera and the display. Using insurance? Some policies only pay for aftermarket glass. We'll check your coverage and explain any difference before you decide.

Ram trucks pick up a lot of rock chips on Arizona highways and job sites. Catch a chip early and you can often avoid a replacement. Our chip repairs are done in the shop: $79 for the first chip and $30 for each additional chip.

We also replace Ram back glass, including fixed, sliding and power sliding rear windows, and door glass.

Insurance

Does insurance cover a Ram windshield?

If you have comprehensive coverage, your Ram windshield replacement may be covered, minus your deductible. When recalibration is required, it's normally part of the same claim.

We set up a three-way call with your insurance company and help you file the claim. Paying out of pocket? You'll get a clear quote that includes the glass and the recalibration.

Does my Ram need camera recalibration after a windshield replacement?

If it has a front camera for collision warning or LaneSense, yes. We recalibrate it in house and confirm it with a post-scan.

Do you replace Ram 2500 and 3500 windshields?

Yes. We replace windshields on Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups and ProMaster vans.

Can you replace the sliding back glass on my Ram?

Yes. We replace fixed, sliding and power sliding rear windows on Ram trucks.

Can I get mobile windshield replacement for my Ram?

Yes, at your home or office with covered parking. If your Ram needs a static calibration with targets, that part is done in our shop; we'll plan it with you when you book.

Can you repair a chip instead of replacing the windshield?

Often, yes. If the chip on your Ram is no bigger than a quarter, we can usually repair it in our shop: $79 for the first chip and $30 for each additional chip. Chip repairs are in-shop only.

Is there a warranty on my new Ram windshield?
