The Model Y has a large windshield built for forward visibility and for Tesla's camera-based driver assistance. Near the top, behind the rearview mirror area, sits the forward-facing camera assembly that supports Autopilot and other vision-based features.
Because the cameras see the road through the windshield, the replacement glass has to fit the camera mounting system and meet its optical requirements.
Not every Model Y uses the same windshield. Tesla has changed designs and parts over the years, so the correct part can depend on your production year and configuration. Before we order glass, we verify your Model Y's VIN to identify the correct replacement windshield.

Beat the Arizona sun
Arizona's intense sun is one reason many Tesla owners tint their windshield. We offer windshield pre-tinting for customers who want the tint done along with their replacement: instead of waiting until the new windshield is installed, the tint is applied to the replacement glass beforehand.
We'll explain the tint options and coordinate it when we prepare your quote. Windshield tint options are subject to Arizona regulations.
Glass roof
One of the Model Y's most recognizable features is its large panoramic glass roof. Unlike a traditional sunroof, it's fixed and doesn't open.
The glass roof is separate from the windshield, but it also takes vehicle-specific glass and installation procedures. If your Model Y's roof is damaged, tell us when you contact us and we'll review the damage and your replacement options.
Insurance
In many cases, windshield damage may be covered under the comprehensive part of your auto policy. Coverage depends on your insurer, your policy terms, your deductible and how the damage happened. Some policies also have specific rules about OEM glass or camera calibration.
We help coordinate eligible claims: we collect your Model Y's information, identify the correct windshield and help you verify coverage. Once the glass has arrived and passed inspection, we call you to schedule. If you'd rather pay out of pocket, we'll give you a cash quote.
